No single thing represents the magic of our newlywed life so well as the little apartment Heyjin, Haddie and I squeezed into in Washington, DC shortly after getting married.  What it lacked in space, it made up for with a clever layout.  It was something of a figure eight, allowing our dog to run circles around both the bathroom "loop" and the bedroom one.  But what made the space really special was the light.  Oh, that glorious light.  We have had some bigger and nicer (and bigger and worse) homes since, but all have been judged against the standard for streaming sunlight set by this apartment.
